Gascoyne Crane Hire and Portside Engineering Services were family owned and operated businesses that amalgamated in 2016 to become Portside Engineering and Crane Services (Portside). Owned and operated by Marcus Whitehall-Holla, Portside employs full and part time local personnel including qualified mechanics, diesel fitters, welders, a machinist and hydraulic hose specialist, a blaster/painter, heavy duty machine operators, dogmen and riggers.

Personnel at Portside pride themselves on being responsive to customer requirements and working to find solutions to customer needs, be they mechanical/hydraulic repairs, metalwork repairs or fabrication, crane and earthmoving or simply finding the filter, bearing, seal or fasteners required.

With a fleet that comprises side tippers and 6 wheel tip trucks, loaders, excavators, a float and prime mover, 20T Franna cranes and a crawler crane, Portside is often called upon to undertake work in surrounding regions.
